Kraken Bond KM 43 is a medium-strength blue threadlocker developed for securing threaded metal fasteners that must remain protected against vibration while still allowing future disassembly. The anaerobic formula cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, forming a durable bond that helps keep nuts, bolts, housing screws and other threaded components securely in position. Designed for serviceable assemblies, KM 43 provides dependable locking strength without creating a permanently bonded connection. Once cured, mating components can normally be removed using standard hand tools, making it suitable for equipment that may require scheduled maintenance, adjustment or repair. The thread locking compound fills the space between mating threads and helps prevent loosening caused by vibration, shock and regular equipment operation. By sealing the threaded connection, it also helps reduce leakage through the threads while protecting assembled metal parts against corrosion, seizing and galling. Its medium-viscosity, thixotropic consistency supports controlled application and helps minimize dripping, runoff and migration after assembly. The slightly oil-tolerant formula can bond certain as-received fasteners, although cleaning and drying both male and female threads before application provides the best performance. Apply KM 43 as a continuous 360-degree bead around the leading male and female threads. Assemble the parts, tighten them into position and wipe away excess material in the direction of the thread. The product sets in approximately 10 minutes, with full curing dependent on the application conditions and assembled materials. Suitable applications include automotive repairs, machinery assembly, mounting bolts, housing screws, pumps, gearboxes, industrial equipment and other metal threaded connections exposed to movement or vibration. KM 43 operates across a temperature range of -58°F to 302°F and fills thread gaps up to 0.01 inch. Each precision-tip bottle contains 1.7 fl oz / 50 mL for accurate placement and efficient use.
