Dixie Belle Gator Hide Polyacrylic Topcoat (Satin, 16oz)

Dixie Belle Gator Hide is a rock-hard polyacrylic topcoat designed to protect your painted surfaces with nature's toughest armor. Available in Satin and Eggshell finishes, this non-yellowing topcoat is perfect for high-traffic areas like kitchen and bathroom cabinets, countertops, furniture, coffee tables, and more. It adheres to almost any surface, including wood, metal, laminate, and glass, making it ideal for both beginner and advanced restoration or DIY craft projects. Each 8 oz jar covers approximately 30 square feet using three very thin coats. For best results, apply with a Blue Sponge in very thin layers, allowing 2 hours of drying time between coats, and lightly sand between applications using a Sanding Sponge. A full 48-hour cure time is recommended. Once fully cured, the surface can be cleaned with mild soap and water and offers protection against UV rays, light scuffs, and moisture. • HOW TO USE ? Allow your finished piece to dry completely. Use our Blue Sponge (sold separately) to add a VERY thin layer of Gator Hide to dresser, cabinet, or any other project you were working on. Let it dry and after 2-hours, reapply. Use Dixie Belle Sanding Sponge (sold separately) to gently sand between coats. Let second coat dry for 2 hours. Repeat up to 3 VERY thin layers to get a layer of protection strong enough for moisture to not damage. A 48-hour dry time is recommended.
