- CHECK YOUR JAR SIZE: Each cover measures approximately 3.74 inches in diameter when relaxed and extends up to a maximum of 6.50 inches. Maximum extension is not a guaranteed fit diameter; measure the outside diameter of your jar opening and consider its rim shape before ordering.
- CARE & ROTATION: Leave enough headspace to reduce contact between expanding starter and the cover. If wet starter reaches the linen, lightly sprinkle dry flour over the residue to help absorb surface moisture. Let it dry, gently brush away the loosened residue, rinse from the reverse side with cold water, soak for 15–30 minutes, hand wash with mild detergent, reshape, and air dry completely.
- STARTER CARE NOTE: These linen covers provide breathable, non-airtight coverage but do not control feeding, hydration, or temperature. If your starter begins drying out or becomes less active, review its feeding routine and temperature, and switch to a loose-fitting lid when less airflow is needed.
